Once the private art and garden collection of Jacksonville local Ninah Cummer, the museum now holds her entire collection. With around 5,000 pieces of artwork, historic furniture, and an award-winning education center, this attraction receives over 100,000 visitors every year.

 

Friendship Fountain

Located at St. Johns River Park, this fountain was once the tallest and largest in the world. While it no longer holds that title, it has remained one of the city’s most recognizable sites. The water can get up to 100 feet in height, and at night, the fountains are lit up with beautiful colors.

 

Timucuan Ecological Preserve

Nature fans are going to love this. This preserve spans over 46,000 acres, and it’s full of wetlands, waterways, and historic sites. Visitors can explore the Kingsley Plantation, view wildlife from the designated platforms, kayak through the marsh, or spend a day at the beach.
