Modern Greek Jeweler Yannis Sergakis at the Mykonos Museum of Archaeology

“Vanity, Stories of Jewellery in the Cyclades,” a new exhibit at the Archaeological Museum of Mykonos explores the history of Greek jewelry. The exhibit features pieces dating back to 6th century BCE and includes 12 specially-commissioned pieces from contemporary Greek jewelers. Yannis Sergakis, one of the featured designers, has a deep appreciation for ancient traditions of jewelry making which can be seen in his designs. Sergakis’ jewelry re-invents old jeweller techniques creating pure, elegant shapes which are timeless and strikingly modern.
