8th Annual Lobsterfest Crustacean Celebration Benifits Make-A-Wish® and Leadership Tomorrow

That wonderful time of year has rolled in again, the Crustacean Celebration, LOBSTERFEST at the always Zen,  Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina. On August 7th. guests will indulge in  a decadent  lobster dinner with cocktails and wine. After that it will be time to burn it off on the dance floor to live music. If that weren’t enough there will be prize drawings most of all a day of memories on the beach with friend, family and new friends.

The charity teamIt doesn’t get any fresher then when our friends from the East Coast shares the love by having Live Maine lobster is  flown in fresh on the morning of the event to ensure that they are ultra-fresh. will be prepared on-site alongside a buffet that includes tri-tip, corn on the cob, salads and dessert.  will be provided by Pinch Me! a high-energy rock-n-pop band playing favorites from more than seven decades.

The high-energy live entertainment takes place from 4 – 8 p.m. and Pinch Me! will take the stage, featuring a saxophone, keyboards and guitars accompanied by exceptional vocal harmonies. Band members are comprised of Rick Allen, Bart Broadnax, Wes Jones,  Gary Wails and Chandra Reese . Their genre is Adult Alternative-Rock-Pop and  playlist includes tunes for dancing and lots of fun.

Lobsterfest will have special activities on-site for youngsters provided by Camp James.

Tickets for the Lobsterfest at Newport Beach are $60 per person in advance, $80 at the door.  Additional lobster may be purchased for $20 each.  A special ‘box’ meal for children under 12 is available for $20 in advance and $25 at the door.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit Make-A-Wish® Orange County and Inland Empire and Leadership Tomorrow. Make-A-Wish® grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Leadership Tomorrow, in conjunction with the Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, Irvine and Tustin chambers of commerce, is a nine-month program designed for informed citizens committed to learning more about their communities.

This celebration of summer is designed for fun, entertainment and most importantly to raise funds for deserving charitable organizations Now in its eighth year, the Lobsterfest was originally planned as a joint fundraiser for the Costa Mesa and Newport Beach Sunrise Rotary Clubs and has its own bylaws with non-profit 5013c status. A board of directors comprised of community leaders guides the event along with volunteers.
